A VERY BAD NEWS FROM DALLAS COWBOYS TODAY………

The NFL offseason saw plenty of coaching changes, with the biggest of which was coaching legend Bill Belichick’s departure from the Patriots.

There were murmurs about which organization would take the risk and grab Belichick as their new coach, especially considering the amount of power he had with New England. Surprisingly enough, the answer was none of them.

A recent ESPN report by Don Van Natta Jr., Seth Wickersham and Jeremy Fowler has revealed why this was the case. Despite going through multiple interviews with the Atlanta Falcons, which included a one-on-one interview with owner Arthur Blank, Belichick didn’t land the job. In fact, he didn’t even make the top three of Atlanta’s final list.

It was Belichick’s leadership style with the Patriots that caused Blank to hesitate. It was reportedly what led seven owners to pass on him.

However, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones could be one of the only people who could deal with the legend. He was a potential suitor this past year, but Jones decided to stick with Mike McCarthy even after their playoff loss to the Packers.

Belichick and Jones have a close relationship, according to ESPN, and the Cowboys’ current coaching situation is tenuous. After this year, McCarthy’s contract ends, and another divisional-round playoff exit would almost certainly see the owner decide to look elsewhere for a coach.

Who better for Dallas to get than one of the winningest coaches of all time? And how good would that look for Belichick, who would have a chance to bring playoff success to a team that, in this scenario, has gone a quarter century without advancing past the divisional round?

We’ll have to see going forward but if things play out a certain way, Belichick could find his way back into the NFL next year.

But now into his third decade of life, this could be his final big contract and he’s currently not broke earning a cool, guaranteed $160,000,000 on his current four-year deal, but he won’t go chasing the money unlike some other people might decide.
