GREEN BAY

Josh Myers Has Been Suspended From Green Bay Packers Today…

The Green Bay Packers’ injury report is a mixed bag going into their matchup against the Chicago Bears.

Some players are trending in a positive direction, while others seem to feel the toll of the 17-game season.

Among the full participants in Thursday’s practice were cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder), inside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell (neck), center Josh Myers (neck) and receiver Dontayvion Wicks (chest).

Alexander, Campbell and Wicks all missed last week’s action against the Minnesota Vikings — though, Alexander was suspended — while Myers popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with his neck injury.

Hopefully, all these contributors are ready for a win-and-in game against the Bears on Sunday.

The limited participants in practice today were running back Aaron Jones (knee/finger), tight end Luke Musgrave (kidney), safety Jonathan Owens (knee), receiver Jayden Reed (chest), defensive lineman T.J. Slaton (knee/foot) and receiver Christian Watson (hamstring).

Receiver is a particular position of interest, as the team placed Samori Toure on the injured reserve following the Vikings game and is currently dealing with three others banged up at the position.

The non-participants in practice on Thursday were running back AJ Dillon (thumb/neck), safety Rudy Ford (hamstring), left guard Elgton Jenkins (knee/ankle), inside linebacker Isaiah McDuffie (concussion/neck) and outside linebacker Preston Smith (ankle).

Dillon reaggravated his thumb injury against the Vikings, the game where Jenkins added an ankle injury to the knee issue he’s been pushing through this season.

Smith, coming off of the best game of his 2023 campaign, now seems to be questionable for the upcoming battle with the Bears due to an ankle injury of his own.

Don’t expect McDuffie, who has been the injury replacement for Campbell and Quay Walker this season, to suit up against Chicago, either.

McDuffie was helped off the field by trainers and then carted to the locker room from the sideline against Minnesota following a nasty play that saw him take the shock of a tackle to the head/neck area.

If the Packers need a linebacker off of the bench, it will likely be Eric Wilson, who has primarily contributed as a special teamer and passing downs linebacker in his two years in Green Bay.

On the Bears’ side of the injury report, the big names to watch are cornerback Jaylon Johnson (shoulder) and receiver Darnell Mooney (concussion).

Both players are starters and have been non-participants in both practices thus far this week.
