During Sunday’s Geico 500 NASCAR Cup Series event at Talladega Superspeedway, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and a few of his teammates had the opportunity to meet perhaps the greatest basketball player in history.

Milroe was sighted with retired NBA great Michael Jordan, who co-owns the 23XI Racing team with Denny Hamlin, a regular driver in the NASCAR. In the race on Sunday, Tyler Reddick was the driver of 23XI’s No. 45 car.

On Sunday, Milroe shared a picture of himself and Jordan on his Instagram story.

DeVonta Smith, Jihaad Campbell, and Malachi Moore, all teammates from Alabama, joined Milroe in the pits for Sunday’s race. They were able to witness every moment of the action firsthand thanks to Simon Williams, the sportscaster for Fox 54 Huntsville.

With the Chicago Bulls, Jordan won six NBA titles. In 2009, he was admitted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. In 1994, while playing minor league baseball for the Birmingham Barons, he notably visited the state of Alabama.
