Through On3’s Grant Grubbs, guard Jeremy Roach has committed to Baylor. The senior is about to embark on his last year of eligibility.
Roach, a two-time team captain, will provide the Baylor backcourt with a wealth of experience. In 35 games during the previous season, he scored 14 points a night on average and shot 42.9% from three-point range for the Blue Devils. He is expected to start for a Baylor club that wants to outperform its 24-11 record from the previous season.
In his choice to quit Duke, Roach is by no means alone. The majority of the Blue Devils’ roster has chosen to follow suit, which puts coach Jon Scheyer in a challenging situation as he attempts to assemble a nearly completely new team.
