The Brewers had a moment of indecision regarding their starting rotation. Wade Miley, Colin Rea, and Freddy Peralta were all locks to get in. Joe Ross, Jacob Junis, Aaron Ashby, DL Hall, Janson Junk, and Robert Gasser were the other six candidates who may have been chosen for the two open positions. What a luxury that could be.

The Brewers had not even secured a set by April 22.

three-quarters of a series against the Pittsburgh Pirates in a rotation. It’s all because of their constantly expanding list of injuries. Miley, Hall, and Junis are currently all on the 15-day injured list, which seems to leave the Brewers with little choices.

The next off-day for the Brewers is not until May 2. How are they going to survive until then? Let’s examine some of the options available to them as they work toward improving their health.

Who Remains Standing?
Only Peralta, Rea, and Ross are active and currently on the MLB roster out of all the individuals mentioned above. Peralta has demonstrated his potential as a Cy Young winner to both the team and the league. After four outings, he presently has a Over 23 2/3 innings, the pitcher had a 1.90 ERA, 33 strikeouts, 4 walks, and a 0.76 WHIP. Fastball Freddy still has a fastball, but his slider, which boasts a 48.9% whiff percentage, has truly developed into one of his more consistent pitches. It could be time to give the ace a new moniker.
