The Sales of Tickets Are Exploding
Tickets to the Wings vs. Fever game on May 3, where Clark is anticipated to make her debut, sold out shortly after the WNBA draft. On StubHub, some tickets are being resold. Upper level seats are typically selling for about $100 apiece, while lower level seats can fetch up to $500 per bid.

Greg Bibb, the president and CEO of the Wings, told WFAA that the team planned a preseason game against the Fever before Clark ever filed to enter the draft because they thought the Indiana squad would select her if she joined.

“We have seen incremental gains in business growth every year since 2020, and what’s happened in the NCAA has been an accelerant to that growth,” Bibb stated. “We structured our ticket sales accordingly and waited later in the calendar year to go on sale with them to create a pent-up demand post-draft.”

In addition, the Dallas Wings, who now play at College Park Center in UT Arlington, declared that they had sold out of season tickets for the 2024 campaign, a first for the team. According to Bibb, individual ticket sales have increased by 1,170%, and as the season progresses, they plan to sell out more individual games.

Bally Sports Southwest Extra will broadcast the game, which is expected to draw a large audience.

Jacy Sheldon, a former point guard for Ohio State, is also anticipated to play in her debut WNBA game on Friday, albeit with a green and blue outfit. This year, the Wings selected Sheldon with their fifth overall pick. Sheldon finished his career as a Buckeye with 2,024 points in five seasons.
