What the former rookies of the Utah Jazz should focus on in the Summer League
This summer, the Utah Jazz will need to see significant progress from their three former rookies.

Three rookies had a significant amount of playing time with the Utah Jazz in 2023–2024. Throughout the whole season, Keyonte George, Taylor Hendricks, and Brice Sensabaugh had trouble playing basketball of a winning standard and getting regular minutes. The three are now together on the team, but as the Utah Jazz go “big game hunting,” that could easily alter in a few weeks. That’s how Danny Ainge described the elite players they will be aiming for.

Without dealing away young players, you can’t get star players, and this season’s three rookies all demonstrated enough to warrant a trade if the appropriate offer is presented.

However, if they are still on the roster for this Summer League, the three of them have a lot of work ahead of them, and we will discuss what they should concentrate on this summer.

Keyonte George: Make more informed choices
If George puts himself out of his own way, he has the potential to be a great asset to the Jazz. Although he started off as a terrific passer, his three-point shooting isn’t good enough to have him shooting from three as frequently. He also declined severely the more he gained control of the position. While playing a smaller percentage of the game, George had almost as many turnovers as the top players, even though primary ball handlers often lead the league in this category. That’s not ideal. He must learn to trust their instincts about when to pass, when to drive, and when to pull up and fire. It’s something that he now lacks.
