Do the Miami Dolphins possess the top three wide receivers in the NFL? PFN declines.
Pro Football Network ranks the wide receiver talent for the Miami Dolphins behind that of the Houston Texans.

The recent signing of three-time Pro Bowl pass catcher Odell Beckham Jr. has given the Miami Dolphins a ton of weapons at wide receiver. To make his money on the business end of Tua Tagovailoa dart throws, he teams up with electrifying, soon-to-be four-year pro Jaylen Waddle and All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill in sunny South Florida.

Although Miami’s receiving group is incredibly talented, are they the best three in the entire National Football League? Although a lot of Dolphins supporters would say “yes,” Pro Football Network disagrees!

Hill, Waddle, and Beckham Jr. are the second-best starting receiver trio in the NFL, according to Lorenzo Reyna of PFN’s most current ranking of the top ten wide receiver trios. He

puts Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and Stefon Diggs of the Houston Texans over the speedy duo from Miami.

Reyna said the following regarding the Dolphins’ receivers:

This is reminiscent of three fancy race vehicles in Miami. This trio is perhaps the most talented in the NFL, with Beckham adding a much-needed receiving threat to Miami’s already potent combination. While he may be past his prime, Beckham is still one of the league’s most skilled wide receivers (WR3), Jaylen Waddle is one of the top young receivers in the NFL, and Tyreek Hill just finished his most productive season.

What are your thoughts on Miami trailing Houston in these rankings? One may argue that Miami should have given the brilliant trio the top place based on their stats from the previous season.

Nico Collins caught 80 catches in 2023, good for 1,297 yards and 8 touchdowns. In his debut season, Tank Dell caught 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns. In his penultimate season with the Buffalo Bills, Diggs caught 107 passes for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns.

In 2023, Odell Beckham Jr. was a member of the Baltimore Ravens and caught 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns. 72 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns were made by Jaylen Waddle

Tyreek Hill had his best season as a professional in Miami, as he caught 119 passes for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Although it’s entertaining to peruse rankings throughout the summer, what counts most is how these players perform on the field to help their teams win. It just so happens that the Dolphins will visit Houston in 2024, so we will soon get to witness these two corps square off against one another—that is, against opposition defensive backs.
