SAD NEWS: Gabe Cupps Ends Relationship with Indiana Hoosiers Today after finding out he was….

The transfer portal officially opened on Monday, March 18, and the Indiana Hoosiers are extremely active. Peegs.com presents the Indiana basketball transfer portal target tracker.

The list will be updated as more information becomes available.

So far, the Hoosiers have added Myles Rice (point guard from Washington State), Kanaan Carlyle (guard from Stanford), Luke Goode (wing from Illinois), Oumar Ballo (center from Arizona), and Langdon Hatton (power forward/center from Bellarmine) to the roster.

CJ Gunn, Payton Sparks, and Kaleb Banks entered the transfer portal, and Kel’el Ware left for the NBA Draft. That leaves two open scholarships for the 2024-25 season.

More than 1,000 D1 players entered the portal last season, a number that might be topped since players have unlimited transfers in the present environment.

Last year, Indiana added Ware, Anthony Walker, and Payton Sparks.

Ware developed into an NBA prospect, but Walker and Sparks (headed back to Ball State) were out of the primary rotation by the end of the season.

Indiana returns three full-time starters from this past season, including senior guard Trey Galloway, freshman forward Mackenzie Mgbako and sophomore forward Malik Reneau.

Additionally, senior guard Anthony Leal and freshman guard Gabe Cupps, who started 22 games after twice replacing the injured Xavier Johnson, announced their intention to come back to Bloomington.
