Colin Hitschler, a co-defensive coordinator/safeties coach, is looking forward to seeing what his position does to help the Tide push for a College Football Playoff National Championship.

Hitschler started coaching safeties in 2017 at the University of South Alabama. He grew more into the role at Cincinnati and Wisconsin. Alabama feels it has a great coach in Hitschler, and he had his group focused on stacking consistent performances together in spring ball.
The safeties really like Hitschler and have taken well to his coaching style.
