sad news: st George player train in tears today after having three key players suspended by NCAA…..

The 2024 NRL season is rolling along at a rapid pace, and a host of injuries to key players are rocking the competition.

Nathan Cleary and Tom Trbojevic have suffered hamstring injuries which have caused havoc for their sides and their state, while AJ Brimson is also facing a lengthy spell out.

The Broncos are having to do without their playmaker Adam Reynolds, while the Raiders and Warriors are having to deal without their halfbacks too.

Ryan Papenhuyzen and Cameron Murray have been sidelined for extended periods, while Cameron Munster has joined them in the casualty ward after limping off in Magic Round.

Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Tom Gilbert have been ruled out for the season with ACL injuries, while Kalyn Ponga is due back later in the year after suffering a foot injury.

The Sharks annihilated the Dragons in both matches during the 2023 season, crushing the Shire rivals 40-8 in round 4 and 52-16 in round 18.
The Sharks have also dominated the last 5 years of head to head battles winning 9 of 10 matches played since the 2019 season
it was the Nicho Hynes show last week when the Sharks blanked the Raiders 40-0 with the 2022 Dally M medalist scoring a try, setting up 2 and creating 3 linebreaks in the match.
Everything went through the Sharks halfback and rightfully so as Hynes looks to be in the same touch he was two seasons ago.
The Sharks are on top of the ladder with a 6-1 record on the back of their electric attack that tops the league with an average of 28.4 points per game.
The Sharks defence is also returning to its form of a couple of years back, as Cronulla concedes the least amount of points per game in the NRL, allowing their opponents an average of just 14.3 points and 3.9 Linebreaks, which is third-best.
