Official visit season is here. Top football recruits in college football’s 2025 class kick off what figures to be an active stretch in the month of June with this weekend’s trips.

For prospects in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, that’s especially the case. 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions are in order as momentum builds for some of the hosting programs.

Indiana football’s week one and week two games against Florida International and Western Carolina have kickoff times and TV broadcast designations announced.

Indiana football’s week one and week two home games against Florida International and Western Carolina are set. The Hoosiers will host FIU in the season opener at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 31 at Memorial Stadium with Big Ten Network televising the game. In week two, Indiana hosts Western Carolina at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 6 with Big Ten Network carrying the game.

IU also announced Thursday that its week three Big Ten opener at UCLA will be a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff at the Rose Bowl with NBC televising the game. The meeting between the Hoosiers and Bruins marks the first time since 1969 that IU will play at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. It’s also IU’s first game on NBC under the Big Ten’s new television deal with the network.

Indiana’s full 2024 season schedule features eight home games, four road games and two bye weeks. IU will host FIU (Aug. 29), Western Illinois (Sept. 7), Charlotte (Sept. 21), Maryland (Sept. 28), Nebraska (Oct. 19), Washington (Oct. 26), Michigan (Nov. 9) and Purdue (Nov. 30). Indiana will travel on the road to play at UCLA (Sept. 14), Northwestern (Oct. 5), Michigan State (Nov. 2) and Ohio State (Nov. 23). IU’s two byes are the weeks of Oct. 12 and Nov. 16.

Cignetti and his coaching staff have done extensive work this offseason to revamp Indiana’s roster. The Hoosiers departed with 39 players from the 2023 roster and brought in 31 transfer additions to the 2024 roster. Among the newcomers, 13 are transfers from James Madison, where Cignetti and several assistants previously worked at last season.

Indiana will look completely different than it did in 2023 at almost every position. At quarterback, four-star Ohio transfer Kurtis Rourke is likely to begin the season as the starter, while redshirt sophomore Tayven Jackson and four-star freshman Tyler Cherry serve as top backups. At running back, Indiana has six new faces, including five transfer additions. At receiver and tight end, IU added five transfers who are expected to be key pass targets.

Defensively, Indiana also reconstructed several positions groups. Across the defensive line, Kent State transfer defensive tackle CJ West was a major recruiting win, along with the additions of James Madison defensive end Mikail Kamara, James Madison defensive tackle James Carpenter and Michigan State defensive end Andrew Depaepe. At linebacker, James Madison transfers Aiden Fisher and Jailin Walker are the favorites to see significant snaps, plus UMass transfer Nahji Logan. In the secondary, Old Dominion transfer safeties Terry Jones Jr. and Shawn Asbury II figure to step into immediate-impact roles, while James Madison cornerback D’Angelo Ponds, a coveted transfer, attempts to fit in seamlessly with several returners.
