“I’AM LEAVING” NFL Quarterback Sam Darnold has announced that he is leaving the Minnesota Vikings due to…..

The Minnesota Vikings have been keeping things pretty airtight when it comes to minicamp and OTAs.
There is media availability but the videos from minicamp are slim to none. Why is that? There are many reasons but the biggest is they are developing J.J. McCarthy.
When you draft a young quarterback, a poor day of practice can send the fans into a frenzy.
It doesn’t mean much, especially when they are working with him on a lot of mechanical things. Those take time to iron out and there can be plenty of mistakes in the process.
We do get a few throws here and there with the Vikings and/or the beat writers in attendance getting footage from practice.
The Athletic’s Alec Lewis got a few of those on the final practice of minicamp on Thursday.
It’s evident that McCarthy has some zip on the football, especially in the intermediate areas. He can whip a seam route better than most quarterbacks, something he did often at Michigan.
Enjoy these camp highlights, as we won’t get much until training camp.
Sam Darnold on the Vikings’ depth chart this offseason.
Darnold has taken the majority of first-team reps, with McCarthy often coming in even behind Nick Mullens in the pecking order.
This should come as no surprise, as the Vikings signed Darnold this offseason to serve as a stopgap starter ahead of their quarterback of the future.
Minnesota tabbed McCarthy with that moniker after trading up to take him with the No. 10 pick in April’s NFL draft, but there is no rush to thrust him into first-team reps.
