Baltimore Orioles third baseman Jordan Westburg left Tuesday nightā€™s game against the New York Yankees in the middle of the second inning with left hip discomfort after colliding with Juan Soto.

New York had two on with two outs in the first inning when Giancarlo Stanton grounded to Westburg.

As he fielded the ball, Sotoā€™s knee hit Westburg on the left hip, causing the runner to flip over.

Soto was called out for interference.

Westburg, who struck out leading off the game, is batting .277 with 11 homers and 42 RBIs. He was replaced by RamĆ³n UrĆas.

The Baltimore Orioles’ ninth-inning rally fell short as they dropped the opener of a three-game series against American League East rival New York Yankees, 4-2, Tuesday evening.

Yankees’ star Aaron Judge left the game after he was hit on the left hand by a pitch in the first game of the series between the American League’s winningest teams.

Judge appeared to be struck on his pinkie by a 94.1 mph fastball from Albert SuƔrez (3-1) in the third inning.

The slugger initially remained in the game but was lifted for a pinch hitter in the fourth. The Yankees said he was going to a hospital for scans.
