Sydney won their last game, defeating Parramatta by 10 points.

However, it must be noted that the Roosters have been inconsistent over the past couple of weeks, as they have failed to register consecutive wins since Round 11.

Canterbury, meanwhile, have found consistency in recent weeks, with three successive wins before a bye. In Round 14, the Bulldogs defeated the Eels by four points.

However, they enter this clash as the underdogs due to their poor form on the road which stands at one win in their past 11 away matches.

The two sides have already met this season at Accor Stadium, with the Bulldogs prevailing by four points.

However, the last time they beat Sydney twice in a season was back in 2016.

The Roosters have won nine of their past 11 games against the Bulldogs.

Additionally, they have won their past four games at Industree Group Stadium.

Going by these records, a Sydney win looks inevitable.

Trent Robinson’s men will be over the moon to see Watson called up to make his State of Origin debut after the star utility missing the entire 2023 season while their skipper James Tedesco will bring some much-needed experience to the side that after he made way for Dylan Edwards in camp.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs once again lose skipper Stephen Crichton to Origin duties but keep their star playmaker Matt Burton who will be crucial to helping the side make it four straight on the Central Coast.
