On Friday, June 28, the Canterbury Bulldogs will welcome the Cronulla Sharks to Accor Stadium in the opening fixture of the NRL Round 17.
The two teams will look to get back to winning ways after dropping points in their last outing.
The Bulldogs saw their three-game winning streak end in the previous round after an 18-point loss to the Sydney Roosters.
It was one of their worst performances, as they scored just eight points while the Rooster had 26 points.
Meanwhile, the Sharks come into this clash off a bye. In Round 15, they lost to the Redcliffe Dolphins by two points.
Cronulla are third in the standings, but their form in recent weeks has been shaky with three losses in their past four matches.
Craig Fitzgibbon’s side heads into this clash as the huge favorites with a record of nine straight wins against Canterbury, including a 25-6 victory when they met earlier in Round 2.
The last time the Bulldogs defeated the Sharks was in 2021.
However, Canterbury will be confident to end this losing streak as they have not lost at home this season, winning all six home games.
This clash could go either way, but Cronulla are fully rested from their bye and eager to hold on to their high position, favoring them over the Bulldogs.
