The 2024 college football season is less than two months away, and Texas A&M’s football program has a new leader at the helm in Mike Elko.

Elko spent his last two seasons building Duke into an ACC contender, defeating a top-ranked Clemson Tigers team in his second and final season in Durham.

Inheriting a talented and, most importantly, experienced roster, Elko’s new coaching staff includes several familiar faces.

At the same time, former Kansas State star quarterback Collin Klein will make his debut as the Aggies’ offensive coordinator, who will call plays while Elko and defensive coordinator Jay Bateman are in charge of the defense.

With the much-anticipated College Football 25 video game set to be released on Tuesday, July 16, the Aggies are a top 25 team in the game maker’s eyes, coming in at No. 14 overall among seven SEC programs.

Their overall team rating has now been released to the public.

Every SEC team’s overall rating ranked in the game’s top 25 is included below.

The march will be led by the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band and begin with the Parsons Mounted Cavalry firing the Spirit of ‘02 cannon.

It’s scheduled to start at the Quad, with the exact route and time set to be released later in the year.

“The Corps is special to a lot of Aggies,” Commandant of Cadets Patrick Michaelis said to Texas A&M Today.

“This rivalry is one of the most well-known in college sports.

There isn’t a better way for the Corps to show its support and stand as the 12th Man than showing up in full force.”
