Looking to Make a Big Impact in the Portal, West Virginia gets in touch with Penn State wide receiver transfer KeAndre Lambert-Smith.
The transfer portal reopened on Monday, and there will be a lot of movement in college football, particularly at West Virginia, during the next two weeks.
Although most of the team’s best players and emerging potential will stay with the program, head coach Neal Brown is quite certain that some will eventually leave.
However, as they say, the gateway both gives and takes away. If West Virginia can get former Penn State wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith, who just registered on Monday afternoon, they might make a huge impression.
Lambert-Smith has been in communication with West Virginia, Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, and Texas A&M, according to Pete Nakos of On3 Sports.

Lambert-Smith was second in touchdowns (4) and first in receiving yards (673), respectively, for the Nittany Lions in 2023. Against the Mountaineers in the season opener, he hauled in four passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns. The receiver room might use a little more experience, even though Neal Brown is thrilled with the signing of Jaden Bray and the potential of Traylon Ray, Rodney Gallagher III, and Hudson Clement.
Lambert-Smith’s eligibility will last for one more season.
