Florida Hiring Former Arkansas OC Dan Enos in Analyst Role
Florida is bringing a seasoned offensive coordinator and former head coach onto its off-field analyst staff, Dan Enos.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida is hiring former Arkansas offensive coordinator Dan Enos to fill an off-field, analyst position with responsibilities including scouting and projects alongside head coach Billy Napier, All Gators can confirm.
247Sports’ Jacob Rudner was first to report Enos’ imminent hiring by UF.
Enos, 55, joins the Gators after spending roughly half of the 2023 season with the Razorbacks, before his Oct. 22 dismissal from the position. The short stint marked his second as Arkansas’ offensive coordinator, after previously occupying the role from 2015-17.
Notably, Arkansas’ offense, led then by interim coordinator Kenny Guiton, guided the Razorbacks to an upset win over the Gators in Gainesville, 39-36, in the team’s first game after Enos’ firing, on Nov. 4.
Before his most recent coaching position, Enos’ 30+ year career in the field included stops at Maryland (2021-22), Cincinnati (2004-05, 2020), Miami (2019), Alabama (2018), Michigan (2018), Central Michigan (2010-14), and his alma mater Michigan State (1991-93, 2006-09), among other schools.
He led the Broncos as their head coach
coordinated the Terrapins and Hurricanes’ offenses, served as an associate head coach with the Bearcats and Crimson Tide, and oversaw various offensive positions at these stops and others, primarily quarterbacks and running backs.
Perhaps his most impressive work as a coordinator came with Maryland. The Terrapins finished No. 4 in the Big Ten in total offense in 2021 and 2022, and No. 4 and No. 5 in scoring offense in those respective seasons.
