The Baltimore Ravens are loaded at several key positions, and after one week of training camp, Lamar Jackson looks prime for another MVP run while the organization seeks a spot in the Super Bowl.
After four straight days of padded practices in the Maryland heat, the Ravens look even more dominant on defense, and scary explosive on offense, with Lamar Jackson set to take the next steps as a passer and general at the line of scrimmage.
With Day 10 of practice set to begin, we’re looking at five bold predictions after the first week.
Lamar Jackson will enter year 7 in the NFL, having never passed for over 4,000 yards in a regular season.
Thanks to Derrick Henry’s arrival and Isaiah Likely’s emergence, Jackson will shatter his career-high 3,678 passing yards from 2023.
A 2021 first-round pick, Bateman missed most of his second season after having foot surgery. He was still dealing with the effects last season after finishing with 56 targets, the fourth-most on the team behind Zay Flowers, Odell Beckham Jr., and Mark Andrews.
Beckham has departed, and thanks to Derrick Henry, Bateman should have even more efficient chemistry with Lamar Jackson and plenty of one-on-one coverage.
During the minicamp, Likely said he focused on learning all of the receiving positions in Year 2 of Todd Monken’s offense.
In the eight games after he stepped in for the injured Andrews, Likely caught 25 passes for 372 yards and six touchdowns. Baltimore will work to get elite production out of Likely, even with Andrews on the roster.
