SAD NEWS: Cincinnati Bengals announced that Ted Karras is leaving immediately after facing…

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow commented on Dan Pitcher’s promotion to offensive coordinator as he prepares for a shift on the offensive coaching staff.

Pitcher, 37, has been with the organization since 2016. Zac Taylor promoted him to quarterbacks coach in 2020—the year Joe Burrow was drafted.

Now, he is taking over for Brian Callahan.

“Our relationship is as good as it gets,” Burrow said in a release.

“I wouldn’t be the player I am today without him. He’s been preparing for this for years.

He takes his job very seriously and does it with a lot of passion.

Burrow has turned into a player worthy of the biggest contract in NFL history and he’ll try to lead Cincinnati to that elusive first Super Bowl title in 2024 alongside Pitcher.

While a team could make a hard push to steal Pitcher away, all signs point to him becoming the next Bengals offensive coordinator.

As certain as it feels, it isn’t official until it’s official, and stranger things have happened.

For now, Pitcher appears to have a sizable lead in the race to become the Bengals new offensive coordinator.

Pitcher was close to taking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator job last season. Instead, he returned to Cincinnati.

Now he has a chance to stick with Burrow, Taylor and help guide this offense into a new chapter.
