Cousy was one of the many people who were very unhappy with this move, and he has gone as far as to claim it is due to Kerr‘s hatred of the Celtics and anyone who plays for them.

“When Kerr did it last week, he was in no danger of losing the game, but in this case they got down by 17 points and he’s got to worry about losing the game,” Cousy told the Boston Globe.
