For the Georgia Bulldogs, this week’s recruiting focus has been on the visit of five-star quarterback Jared Curtis to Athens, Ga.
The Bulldogs are in a tussle with the Oregon Ducks for the services of Curtis, the top-ranked quarterback in the 2026 class by On3’s industry rankings.
However, in addition to the attempt to land Curtis, the Bulldogs also already have an eye on 2027 quarterbacks, and the Dawgs received some news on that front this week.
Given his proximity to the school, the Bulldogs will obviously feel they have an advantage in the fight to secure his commitment.
On3 gives the Bulldogs a 44% chance of adding Johnson to their roster but a lot can change in the coming years.
Johnson will visit Georgia on March 29, per Jeremy Johnson of On3.
The quarterback also has upcoming visits with Texas A&M Aggies, Auburn Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, Florida Gators and Duke Blue Devils on his calendar.
However, if the Bulldogs can make a strong early impression, it could be an important step towards securing their quarterback of the future.
The Bulldogs are among a plethora of teams that have extended an offer to 2027 four-star recruit Jayce Johnson (Valdosta, Ga.).
