Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would know that Caitlin Clark is the biggest thing to hit the WNBA since, well, forever.
The Indiana Fever rookie has been the subject of intense debate across the country after entering the league on the back of a record-breaking college career.
There’s also the small matter of the viewership that the WNBA has enjoyed since her entry into the league which is to say, it’s been unprecedented. So, what’s the latest milestone for the former Iowa star?
Truthfully, Clark is a star and she’s here to stay whether some like it or not.On Thursday, a full house at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle including the likes of WNBA legend Sue Bird and the Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard, saw Clark put on a show.
While the team’s record remains suspect, they will have an opportunity to improve when they meet the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday, before taking on the two-time defending WNBA champions, Las Vegas Aces on July 2nd.
It will be the first time that the two franchises have come up against one another this season and the Fever are actually on a two-game losing streak and are 3-8 away from home.
Indiana Fever coach Christie Sides has urged Clark to be more assertive offensively after a passive performance in Thursday’s loss to the Seattle Storm.
Clark was disappointed with her own performance on Thursday, in which she didn’t shoot the ball from distance, which has been one of her marked strengths since arriving onto the basketball scene in college and then the WNBA.
