Baltimore Ravens news

He is Gone Soon! Baltimore Ravens key player put to Rest.

The Ravens have signed defensive end Adedayo Odeleye to their practice squad, using their international player slot on the Nigerian-born player.

Odeleye spent the past two seasons on the Houston Texans’ practice squad and hasn’t seen any game action.

Standing in at 6-foot-5, 271 pounds, Odeleye and his family moved to the United Kingdom when he was nine, and he played his first football games at Loughborough University.

In March of 2021, he was accepted into the NFL International Player Pathway Program.

He started his professional career with the Berlin Thunder in the European League of Football (ELF), making 34 tackles, including 14 for loss, and seven sacks.

He was selected to the ELF All-Star team.

The Chiefs will have newly acquired JuJu Smith-Schuster and Samaje Perine but not wide receiver Marquise Brown when they play the Ravens on Thursday night in an AFC title game rematch that opens the NFL season.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Friday that Smith-Schuster and Perine should be able to pick up enough of the playbook in time to help them out against Baltimore.

Smith-Schuster was released by the Patriots last month and signed with the Chiefs on Monday, while Perine was released by the Broncos on Tuesday and was in Kansas City two days later.
