Tragic Loss: Washington Redskins star involved in car cr…

As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prepare to face off against the Washington Commanders in their season opener, Bucs head coach Todd Bowles is preparing to face off against the ‘Redskins.’

During his first press conference of the week, Bowles, who spent seven seasons playing for the then-Washington Redskins, referred to the Commanders by their former name multiple times.

We’re facing the Redskins, not just Jayden Daniels,” Bowles remarked, inadvertently using the old name while discussing his team’s approach to Washington’s rookie quarterback.

“They got 10 other guys that we gotta worry about as well, so we don’t look at it as facing the rookie quarterback; we’re trying to beat the Redskins.”

It could be a slip-up by Bowles or maybe he’s doing it on purpose? Bowles played from 1986 to 1990 and then again from 1992 to 1993, when the team won the Super Bowl.

The moment comes during the middle of a discussion about Washington’s identity.

The team’s new owner Josh Harris recently addressed the fans about returning to the team’s original name, but emphasized that the team won’t be returning to the.

“But right now, we’re focused on things that unify the team around our football team and unify the city around our football team.”

Whether or not the team goes back to the former name or not, it seems like Todd Bowles (and maybe others) still refers to them as Redskins.
