I WILL LEAVE: My presence is no longer needed in Alabama JaMarcus Shephard announced in tears today….
On Monday, Alabama football coaches were seen visiting a number of colleges in order to assess and recruit.
The following is a list of Tide coaches currently visiting various high schools and training centers:
The Denver Broncos signed Levi Wallace on Monday, bringing them to a roster that includes two former Alabama cornerbacks.
Patrick Surtain II and Wallace join the Denver secondary. They weren’t the Crimson Tide’s teammates. Surtain’s first season at Alabama coincided with Wallace’s debut in the NFL in 2018.
Wallace finished his collegiate career with the Alabama Tide’s CFP national championship squad in 2017, and despite not being selected, he has started 70 NFL games.
When injuries struck the secondary in the latter month of the 2023 season, Wallace, who had started the season with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a member of the starting lineup, saw his playing time decrease as rookie Joey Porter Jr., selected in the second round, took the field.
In 2023, Wallace played 726 defensive snaps in 16 games, nine of which he started. He finished with 38 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 passes defended.
Surtain has played in three NFL seasons and has made two Pro Bowls and one first-team All-Pro team. However, there is rivalry for the cornerback spot opposite Surtain. After making 11 starts at cornerback for Denver in 2023, Fabrian Moreau did not sign a new contract.
During a press conference last week, Broncos general manager George Paton stated, “You’re always looking for corners and edge (rushers) — value-type positions.”
Sunday to talk about the NFL Draft. We are fond of our corner group. We boast one of the league’s top corners. Ja’Quan McMillian is our nickel, and we like it. We have Riley (Moss) and Damarri (Mathis), two young men from outside.
“You’re looking to add at those kinds of positions all the time.”
