“I AM LEAVING”: 49ers key player shocked fan with immediate resignation and exit today after facing….
Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk of the San Francisco 49ers, who is about to reach the final year of his rookie deal, provided an intriguing response to reporters in February when they inquired about his future plans with the organization.
“Yes, if that’s the right move,” he replied, going on to say that “being a champion” would be the right course of action.
That sparked talk and subsequently reports that, should the two sides fail to come to an agreement on a long-term contract, he would be available as a trade target for the Niners this offseason. However, Deebo Samuel, his teammate, thinks he’ll rejoin the squad.
He stated, “Yeah, I love that guy,” at the 9:00 mark of Wednesday’s Up and Adams program. However, I don’t see him going. I don’t think he’ll go.”
“If you look at his numbers from when he got to the league and now, it’s always a different type of leap,” he said. “So, as I mentioned to him, I said, ‘Hey, man, you put yourself in a position to be where you want to be.'” He’s open to novel arrangements and the like. I merely informed him that it won’t be as easy and pleasant as you think it will be because I’ve been through it. You must persist through the process.”
In 2023, Aiyuk—25—had a stellar year as he caught 75 catches for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. Now that he’s established himself as one of the league’s best wide receivers, the Niners are a nightmare forcontrasting defenses with him, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, and Samuel.
Aiyuk’s future with the team appears to be uncertain for the time being, though.
