Alabama football might be without one of its wide receivers on Saturday against Vanderbilt.

After suffering what Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer said was a “lower-leg” injury against Georgia, Kendrick Law’s status for Saturday’s game is in question.

“Definitely not a sure thing,” DeBoer said during the SEC’s Wednesday coaches teleconference.

DeBoer said he was not going to rule Law out for the game, and would see how he progressed throughout the rest of the week.

Law had one catch in Alabama’s thrilling win over Georgia Saturday, and frequently earns rave reviews from the Tide’s coaching staff for his prowess in run-blocking.

In more positive news, Alabama DB DeVonta Smith will likely return for the Vanderbilt game. He left late against Georgia, with trainers stretching him out on the ground.

DeBoer said Smith was suffering through cramps for much of Saturday’s game.

The redshirt senior has been practicing throughout the week following the Georgia win.

More light will be shed on the Crimson Tide’s injury situation starting Wednesday evening.

UA’s first participation report of the week will be released by the SEC, as is now required daily beginning Wednesday of conference game weeks.

Alabama and Vanderbilt are scheduled to kick off at 3:15 p.m. CT Saturday in Nashville.

The game against the Commodores, who come in off a bye week at 2-2 after taking Missouri to double-overtime last time out, will be aired on the SEC Network.
