Wrexham Head Coach officially announce the Return of a talented Player after….

Wrexham will hope to return to winning ways in League One when they host 19th-placed Northampton Town on Saturday.

Phil Parkinson’s side come into this game on the back of a 1-0 loss to Stevenage, which meant they have only won two of their last five league games.

Likewise, Northampton Town suffered a 4-2 defeat to Bolton in their most recent League One fixture, marking their third loss in the last five matches.

Northampton Town have not been an easy opponent for Wrexham in the past, with the hosts winless against them in their last three games (one draw and two losses).

Both sides come into this game in erratic form, however, Wrexham should end their winless run against Northampton with a hard-fought victory.

Wrexham midfielder George Evans is expected to miss an extended period after suffering ligament damage in his ankle during Tuesday’s 1-0 loss to Stevenage.

Evans left the pitch shortly before half-time and did not return for the second half.

He is now looking at being sidelined for “months,” according to Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson.

Evans joined Wrexham from Championship side Millwall in September of 2023.

He has played 175 minutes while making six appearances during Wrexham’s 5-2-2 start to the season that sees them tied for second place in the third-tier League One behind Birmingham.
