Worst nightmare: Just now The David Pastrňák’ Legend pass away at 28….RIP

Kampfer, 35, spent this past season with the Tucson Roadrunners, where he rocked the “C.”

The Ann Arbor, Michigan native proved to be a solid part of the Roadrunners’ defense, recording three goals and 22 points in 45 games.

As a result, he is a player who they will miss on their blueline this upcoming season.

Kampfer’s last NHL appearance was with the Bruins during the 2020-21 season.

While in Boston, he was a solid extra defender who worked nicely when injuries occurred.

In 113 games as a Bruin over two stints and five seasons, Kampfer had 10 goals, 25 points, 127 hits, and a plus-14 rating.

Kampfer has experience playing at the KHL level, as he spent the 2021-22 season with Kazan Ak-Bars, posting 11 goals and 30 points in 46 games.

It will now be intriguing to see what kind of campaign he has for Traktor Chelyabinsk from here.

Generally, the Bruins head out West for their annual Western Canada swing in February when the TD Garden hosts the circus, however, this season the TD Garden will be busy during that time with the 4 Nations Face-Off coming to Boston after starting in Montreal.

That means the Black and Gold’s Western Canada trip is two months earlier in December with a stop including the defending Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers.
