The trio have won a combined 66 Grand Slam titles and throughout their careers produced some of the game’s finest matches when they played one another.
They have broken numerous records and set a standard in the game that many of the future generations will find hard to reach.
Each of them impacted the game in their own way, and therefore the debate regarding who the greatest is will continue to rage on for some time to come.
Grigor Dimitrov has played against each member of the ‘Big 3’ and knows exactly how difficult it is to defeat them.
During an ATP Tour Video uploaded to their social media channels, the 33-year-old was asked to name the greatest tennis player of all time.
Dimitrov has plenty of admiration and respect for Djokovic and Nadal, but there was only one name on his mind.
“The guy that I always looked up to has always been Roger,” Dimitrov said.
“You know he is the pioneer of the game itself on that end. He’s set a very high standard and an example to me.”
Dimitrov has played a combined 36 matches against Federer, Nadal and Djokovic in his career. His results do not make for great reading, as Dimitrov has a combined three wins against the tennis icons.
The 2017 ATP Tour Finals winner played Federer on eight occasions and claimed just one win, which came in their last meeting at the 2019 US Open.
Dimitrov faced Nadal on 15 occasions and only defeated the Spaniard once. This occurred at the China Open in 2016, which he won 6-2, 6-4.
