“I AM LEAVING”:Mitchell Fraboni announecd that he is leaving Denver Broncos today after significant issue in the team….
There will be no end to rumors as the 2024 NFL Draft draws near regarding what teams are up to and how they plan to strengthen their rosters for the upcoming season and beyond. This includes the Denver Broncos, who will select first overall in this year’s draft at No. 12 overall in the second round.
Given their urgent need for a starting quarterback, the Broncos will be in an unusual situation to start their draft. Following Russell Wilson’s departure, Sean Payton will need to find a new signal-caller for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Is it included in this draft, I wonder?
Payton and Broncos general manager George Paton will probably be considering tight end, wide receiver, running back, cornerback, edge rusher, and offensive line in addition to quarterback. To perhaps address some of these needs, they will have a total of eight draft selections. All but the second and seventh rounds, they will have at least one pick.
To choose one of the best quarterbacks, Denver is reportedly among the few teams that will make an effort to interact with the top five teams. However, given that they have more than one need and are not solely focused on a quarterback, they might potentially be a team trying to trade down in order to get additional picks. However, they also must exercise caution when choosing their picks, as this selection has the potential to have a significant impact on this franchise.
Senior Bowl MVP Spencer Rattler might be available in the third round at No. 76 if the Broncos choose not to select a quarterback in the first round. However, they should probably wait to sign Gamecock and the former Sooner.
The fact that the Broncos haven’t done anything beyond cut Wilson to their quarterback room has have to worry any fan of the team. Only Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci are still vying to be the team’s starters for the upcoming season. However, it doesn’t appear like Rattler would add much value to the space.
Rattler made inconsistent and dubious decisions during his time in college, particularly while under duress. His propensity to force throws into tight coverage has improved somewhat, however and questions about his potential to be successful in the NFL should be raised by his difficulties with timing and ball placement.
Although the Broncos’ offensive line should provide slightly better protection (allowing 52 sacks in the previous season), concerns regarding Rattler’s pocket presence and ability to handle NFL defenses should be raised. He also faced constant questions about his maturity during his college years.
