Not only did McEnroe praise Alcaraz’s game, but he also credited the Spaniard for how he approaches the game which puts him in the best position to succeed.

“Then you watch this guy taking the ball pretty much on the dead run, early, cutting the angle off and hitting like a Mac-10. Like it’s normal. Like that’s a normal play.

In his two singles matches, he defeated Ben Shelton 6-4, 6-4, before overcoming Fritz in the final match to win the title for Team Europe.
Alcaraz played two double matches, the first of which came alongside Alexander Zverev, but they were beaten by Shelton and Fritz.
The World number two was able to turn the tables in his second doubles, this time teaming up with Casper Ruud to face Shelton and Frances Tiafoe, and claimed a 6-2, 7-6(8) win.
The final Masters 1000 event of the season is set to commence on Monday October 28, and the likes of Novak Djokovic will not be present on French capital.
