Arkansas razorbacks news

Heart breaking news: Sam Pittman and wife was just confirmed dead in a car cr…..

Arkansas football was predicted to finish 14th in the SEC on Friday by media members who attended the conference’s media days in Dallas.

Georgia was selected to win the SEC championship, and Texas was picked second. The Razorbacks were only voted ahead of Mississippi State and Vanderbilt.

Last season, Arkansas was picked to finish fifth in the SEC West before finishing at the bottom of the division.

There will be no divisions in the league beginning this season as the conference expanded from 14 to 16 teams.

Arkansas had one player voted to a preseason All-SEC team.

Defensive end Landon Jackson was named to the second team.

He had the fourth-most tackles for loss (17) in the league last season and eighth-most sacks (9.5) in the league last season.

It is the first time since the 2020 preseason poll that Arkansas had only one player selected.

That year, running back Rakeem Boyd was named to the second team.

The Razorbacks had four selections in 2021 and 2022 and five in 2023.

There weren’t many teams around the country that were as bad along the offensive line as Arkansas last year.

The Hogs could hardly generate a push, protect its quarterback or even open up a hole wide enough for a running back to slide through.

Arkansas snagged a few key pieces out of the transfer portal in Keyshawn Blackstock (Michigan State), Fernando Carmona (San Jose State) and Addison Nichols (Tennessee).

Movement in the portal is possibly long from over with.
