Miami Dolphins Has Officially announced The Signing of a Talented Player From……
There’s some uncertainty surrounding the Miami Dolphins as they head into the offseason.
It was a wild 2024 season, one where they fought for a playoff spot until the very end.
Their 8-9 record landed them second place in the AFC East, but still wasn’t enough for the coveted seventh-seed in the conference.
Miami will face a slew of tough decisions to make, especially as they’re $2 million over the cap space limit for this year.
While they’ll need to retool the roster in order to become contenders for the future, the Dolphins need to decide on some of their own free agents.
A player with three accrued seasons and an expired contract.
RFAs are free to negotiate and sign with any team, but their original team can offer them one of various qualifying offers (“tenders”) that come with the right of first refusal and/or draft-pick compensation.
If the tender is withdrawn by a team, the RFA becomes an unrestricted free agent.
Any player with fewer than three accrued seasons and an expired contract. If his original team offers him a one-year contract at the league minimum (based on his credited seasons), the player cannot negotiate with other teams.
The free-agent negotiating period will begin on March 10, and players can officially put pen to paper on March 12.
