Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant nixed a deal that would’ve sent him to the Golden State Warriors at the trade deadline earlier this month, and now he’s revealed the reason for his decision.
While speaking to ESPN’s Malika Andrews on NBA Today, Durant addressed Warriors head coach Steve Kerr’s comments that he didn’t want to return to Golden State due to the criticisms he faced over his three seasons with the franchise from 2016 to 2019.

“It was nothing against my time with the Warriors, or I heard it was because I don’t like Draymond [Green]. At the end of the day, I just didn’t want to move, and I wanted to see it through with my team in Phoenix and see what we could do for the rest of the season. So I’m glad I’m still there.”
