Las Vegas Motor Speedway NASCAR truck series race faces multiple rain delays

 

A light mist at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway caused Friday night’s truck series race to be delayed for a short time.

On Friday evening the caution flag came out 25 laps into the race and a short time later the trucks were parked while the track workers dried the surface dry.

NASCAR has weather experts that work with to monitor storm cells in the cities that they race in and once they feel they can start the race and proceed for a long stretch of time without precipitation, then the race will continue.

There are officially 100 laps remaining in the race.

After a 55 minute delay, the NASCAR Truck Series race has resumed at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

There are 134 total laps in the race. For it to become an official race, at least 60 laps must be run.
