Despite he’s leaving Nebraska Huskers today ‘Disappointment will be on Matt Rhule

The Nebraska Cornhuskers football program hasn’t fared that well in 2025 Big Ten recruiting rankings, listed at No. 14 overall.
That’s according to 247Sports, who released the conference team recruiting rankings on Thursday.
The Huskers also have the third-least amount of commits (11), ahead of only Illinois (10) and Purdue (9).
Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers leads the rankings.
After all, it’s about the quality over quantity, right? (Looking at you, Rutgers, with 28 commits as of Thursday).
The Huskers landed five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, of Buford, Georgia, last year.
The program looks to surround him with pieces to help climb out of the cellar its been in for the past decade.
Nebraska’s 2025 class is highlighted by four-star quarterback TJ Lateef, or Orange, Calif.; four-star defensive lineman Malcolm Simpson, of Hitchcock, Texas; and four-star running back Jamarion Parker, of St. Louis, Missouri.
Nebraska also had an initial 2025 three-star recruit, running back Mekhi Nelson of Connecticut, commit to the Huskers a year early.
According to 247Sports, it’s the 47th-ranked recruiting class overall.
The recruiting calendar is currently in a dead period for the next four weeks into late July. Although, it’s often one of the busiest time for new commitments after recruits are able to finalize their decisions after visits.
