Kam Jones’ NBA dream took a big leap forward on draft night when the Indiana Pacers selected him with the 38th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

While Jones was celebrating, he received a heartfelt note from Dwyane Wade.

The three-time NBA champion and Marquette icon sent a powerful video message to Jones, praising the young guard’s hard work and encouraging him for what lies ahead.

Wade’s message was quite personal. He was right there on campus at Marquette, celebrating alongside the very team that helped shape Jones’ path.

Jones, a 23-year-old senior, ended his college career as one of the most dynamic scorers in the Big East.

He averaged 19.2 points and 5.9 assists per game in his final season.

His 2,044 total points rank second all-time at Marquette, showing the impact he left behind.

While his three-point shooting dipped to 31.1% this season, he still finished his career at 36.6% over four years.

Indeed, it was the evidence of his deep-range potential.

But beyond scoring, Jones brings NBA-ready skills with solid size and high-level playmaking.

The Pacers finalized a trade with the San Antonio Spurs to secure his draft rights.

Now, he joined the team that lost their 2025 NBA championship to OKC Thunder by a thin margin.
