The former Titans halfback, who joined Canterbury in 2023, has played every game for the Bulldogs this season as the club has moved near the top of the NRL ladder.

He is the first signing by newly appointed Catalans coach Joel Tompkins, who has replaced former Roosters and Warriors assistant Steve McNamara.

Tomkins has been appointed for the 2026 season, which will mark the club’s 20th anniversary.

“Toby is an exciting young half with a strong kicking game, excellent game management, and composure under pressure,” Tomkins said.

“He’s already showing that he can perform at the top NRL level, and I believe he’s only going to get better. His attitude, professionalism, and competitive nature will be a great fit for our squad and the culture we want to build within the team.”

Parramatta have announced Tallyn Da Silva will join the club effective immediately until the end of the 2029 season.

Da Silva grew up in Campbelltown and played in the West Tigers pathways teams before making his NRL debut with the club in 2023.

“Tallyn is a very talented hooker with great skills and a strong running game which complements our squad nicely,” Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said.

Da Silva will commence training with the Eels this week.

The Eels have also extended the contract of promising outside back Jordan Samrani and upgraded hooker Ryley Smith.

Since his debut in Round 2, the 23-year-old has played nine NRL games, showcasing his versatility playing in various positions on the field.

Smith will move into the Eels’ Top 30 squad for 2026 and he has extended his contract with the club through to the end of the 2027 season.
