Alabama flips another elite Mississippi 2025 5-star WR.

5-star WR Caleb Cunningham feeling like ‘main priority’ for Alabama staff

The No. 1 prospect in Mississippi will return to Tuscaloosa later this summer marking the second visit since the coaching change

Caleb Cunningham has already visited Alabama once since the coaching change and he is set to return later this summer for his official visit (June 21-23). The Alabama coaching staff, more specifically JaMarcus Shephard, has brought out all the stops in an effort to land the five-star receiver.

Shephard visited with him during the open contact period this winter, got him on campus for a spring practice, and visited him again last week at Choctaw County (MS) High School. The spring practice visit in early March was “great” and he “felt the love.”

The top college football recruits for the 2025 cycle are in the middle of official visit season, and those opportunities to finalize relationships with coaches and potential future teammates often result in commitments. No. 1 available prospect David Sanders Jr., top-ranked linebacker Zayden Walker, dominant offensive tackle Andrew Babalola and others are in key stages of their recruitments and could be close to decisions.

No recruiting battle is truly complete until National Signing Day, but most of the commitments that fly in over the coming months will withstand the test of time, changes of heart and attempts from other suitors to flip those pledges to their respective programs.

National recruiting analyst Tom Loy unloaded his notebook on the with a wealth of information on 10 of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. He shared the latest visit schedules and updated his Crystal Ball predictions for the aforementioned prospects and numerous others.

If you haven’t yet digested your share of pre-summer college football content, this emptied notebook of 50 predictions, projections and thoughts should appease the appetite. Now that the second transfer portal window is closed and rosters are close to being finalized ahead of the 2024 season, we have a good idea at which teams will be in the thick of the playoff race and the programs that could struggle — at least on paper.

The expanded College Football Playoff gives us much to look forward to after a wild coaching carousel this offseason and a slew of two-deep alterations thanks to the portal. The mainstays aren’t going anywhere, but we could see parity for the second straight year down the stretch, especially after one of our game’s legends, Nick Saban, decided to walk away in January.

It’s time to officially go out on a limb with a few picks before we all go on the record as media days and beyond as the start of fall camp approaches in a few months.
