The Los Angeles Rams (6-7) have a must-win matchup against the Washington Commanders (4-9).
As things stand, the Rams sit outside the playoffs looking in. A win won’t dramatically change Los Angeles’ playoff chances, but a loss would hamstring the Rams’ opportunity to get into the end-of-season dance.
But ahead of Sunday afternoon’s matchup, the Rams received some mixed injury news regarding key contributors on both offense and defense.
Rams defensive captain and star defensive tackle Aaron Donald was listed on the injury report Saturday due to tightness in his groin.
Donald hasn’t missed a game this season for the Rams. He missed the final six games of last season with a high ankle sprain in the first injury absence of his 10-year career
On Sunday, he was listed as questionable. However, it doesn’t look like this season’s game-played streak isn’t going to be snapped. Donald is expected to play against the Commanders, Adam Schefter reported.
Wide receiver Tutu Atwell is still dealing with a concussion. According to Sunday morning reports, Atwell is a no-go for the Rams’ contest against the Commanders.
With the injury to Atwell, Rams head coach Sean McVay will have to get creative with the offense — which won’t be too difficult for him.
