ANNOUNCEMENT: Tennessee Volunteers Announce The Resignation Of Their Head Coach Today

The Tennessee Vols added plenty of talent to their roster this offseason via their 2024 signing class and several transfer additions.
On Sunday, 247Sports named which 2024 signee and transfer addition will be the most impactful for each SEC team.
For the Vols, they went with 2024 five-star wide receiver Mike Matthews and LSU offensive tackle transfer Lance Heard.
Tennessee has plenty of depth at the wide receiver position entering the 2024 season.
Bru McCoy, Dont’e Thornton, Squirrel White, Kaleb Webb, and Chas Nimrod return as the Vols’ most experienced wide receivers.
Tulane transfer Chris Brazzell has the talent to be an instant star. And redshirt freshman Nathan Leacock is a player with immense talent that’s still trying to break through.
Throw in Matthews and fellow 2024 signee Braylon Staley and it’s easy to see why Vols fans are excited about Tennessee’s wide receiver group entering the 2024 season.
As for Heard, he’s expected to start at left tackle this fall with John Campbell moving to right tackle.
The Vols were in need of an offensive tackle after Gerald Mincey, Tennessee’s starting right tackle last season, transferred to Kentucky last month.
The Vols are hoping that Heard, a former five-star recruit, will be an upgrade over Mincey.
