Philadelphia Eagles

“I’AM LEAVING” NFL quarterback Jalen Hurts has Announced that he is leaving the Philadelphia Eagles Today due to…..

The Philadelphia Eagles have already made some big-time changes since their forgettable 2023 season came to a close, but more could certainly be on the way this offseason.

ESPN recently released its “bold move” for all 32 teams this offseason and thinks that the Eagles could benefit from parting ways with a player that hasn’t even been with the team for a full season.

The site listed cutting veteran safety Kevin Byard and signing a younger replacement should be Philly’s “bold move” this offseason in order to improve the defense in the first year under newly-hired coordinator Vic Fangio.

Byard, 30, arrived in a mid-season trade from the Tennessee Titans prior to Week 8 in a move that was seen as a championship-winning deal for the Eagles, who were flying high at the time with a 6-1 record.

However, he quickly became an afterthought in an Eagles secondary that played like one of the worst units in the league during the latter half of the season.

Here’s what ESPN had to say about his potential departure:

“Byard was an interesting midseason addition for the Eagles but ultimately wasn’t much help as Philadelphia crumbled down the stretch.

He’s a good player, but he also can be used to get the Eagles some salary cap space.

Cutting Byard would save the Eagles $13 million on the cap with only $1.4 million in dead money this year.
