He signed his national letter of intent with the Wildcats on Nov 8.

Fland appeared ready to handle the pressure that comes with playing at Kentucky, speaking about the fan reaction to the Cats 2024 NCAA Tournament first round loss to Oakland during the McDonald’s All-American Game Media Day in Houston on April 1.

“Kentucky fans, they want to win. That’s what they’re used to. I feel like the reaction (to Kentucky’s Round of 64 loss to Oakland) was the right reaction,” Fland said.

“They came up short. I felt like they thought they had another game.

It’s March; you’re gonna get everybody’s best shot.

I don’t feel like there’s no pressure. I feel like we chose Kentucky because we knew what it came with and you’ve just got to go in there and do what you got to do.
