END OF AN ERA: Jordan Burks announced his resignation immediately after facing significant issue in the team….
There’s still a good chance the Razorbacks sign multiple Wildcat transfers.
Arkansas’s FAYETTEVILLE Arkansas looks to be the way to go as the Kentucky migration continues. Chris Fisher of CatsPause has given transfer forward Jordan Burks a 247sports crystal ball prediction for Arkansas.
Burks was rated as a three-star prospect for the class of 2023. He played in 20 games as a rookie with the Wildcats, averaging seven minutes per game with two points and two rebounds.
His finest effort occurred on February 6 at Memorial Coliseum versus Vanderbilt. In 15 minutes, he recorded a season-high 13 points and five rebounds. Burks played a reduced role in the team’s final 10 games, appearing in just four of them for a total of 20 minutes.
Burks’ departure means that the Wildcats won’t have a returning player on their roster for the next campaign. After Arkansas, Kentucky is the second SEC program to undergo a personnel upheaval this summer.
Adou Thiero, another former Kentucky athlete, is reportedly considering five colleges. Pitt, North Carolina, Indiana, and Arkansas are among the contenders. It’s not even impossible for him to return to Kentucky in the future.
As a sophomore, Theiro averaged seven points and five rebounds this year. He made 25 appearances, 19 of which were starts, averaging 21 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-7, 200-pound wing became an 80% free throw shooter and increased his field goal percentage to 49%. On November 14, he had his greatest game of the season against Kansas, setting career highs with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
According to 247sports, he is presently ranked as the No. 22 prospect, No. 4 small forward, and No. 10 uncommitted transfer in the portal.
After signing former Kentucky big man Zvonimir Ivisic, Arkansas now has one scholarship player on the roster for the next campaign. There have been persistent reports that many of John Calipari’s players from the roster from the previous season, along with signees, would follow him to Fayetteville ever since the Razorbacks hired him out of Kentucky. The only player who is still dedicated to the Wildcats is since last Sunday, when Mark Pope became the official head coach.
