Amani Hansberry Becomes a WVU pair.

WEST HARTFORD, W.Va. Amani Hansberry has signed a grant-in-aid with West Virginia University men’s basketball coach Darian DeVries for the 2024–25 school year.

The 6-foot-8, 240-pound forward Hansberry participated in his first season of college at Illinois. The Maryland native, who is a sophomore at WVU, still has three years left on her eligibility. She is from Silver Spring.

DeVries remarked, “Amani has a great motor and a nose for the ball.” “He will offer us tremendous versatility at both ends of the floor thanks to his really distinctive skill set. I adore his competitive style, and he’ll bring a winning attitude.”

As a freshman at Illinois, Hansberry shot 45.2 percent from the floor and averaged 2.4 points and 2.1 rebounds a game. He performed
