BAD TEMPTATIONS: Rival NRL Clubs lure teenage Cleary away from Panthers..

The teenage brother of Penrith superstar Nathan Cleary has inked a deal to play for the Warriors.

Jett Cleary, 19, has signed a three-year deal with the rival NRL club from next season.

The talented young playmaker will leave the Panthers, where his father has coached and his brother played in three consecutive NRL premierships.

Jett Cleary is a product of St Dominic’s College in Penrith and has played his junior football for the Panthers.

He follows fellow Penrith player James Fisher-Harris across the ditch next season to join Andrew Webster’s outfit.

“It’s an exciting time for us to be able to bring a player of Jett’s quality into our pathways system from next season,” Warriors CEO Cameron George said.

“The Cleary family has the strongest links with our club through Ivan’s time with us and it’s a special thrill to sign Jett and have the Cleary name back with us.

“We’re again truly grateful for the cooperation from Penrith and Ivan in helping to make this possible.”

Jett was born in the New Zealand city of Auckland in 2005.

His parents had first moved there when his father, Ivan, started playing for New Zealand (later named the Warriors) in 2001.

“He brings wonderful pedigree with him as well as a great understanding of the game after coming through Penrith’s fantastic pathways.”

Jett’s older brother Nathan is considered the best halfback in the NRL currently.
