In order to gain experience, Leonard, 22, has been on loan at Northampton Town for the previous two years. Under Jon Brady’s direction, he has been an important member of the Cobblers, although he has since returned to AMEX Stadium.

According to TEAMtalk’s most recent report on his circumstances, Wrexham is prepared to compete with Championship clubs for his signature in an effort to bolster their roster. They will, nevertheless, have to contend with opposition from teams like Hull City, Preston, and Plymouth Argyle.

As Wrexham gets ready for life in the third division, Leonard might be considered as someone to add some additional quality to their midfield ranks.

He still has one year left on his Brighton contract, but with so many excellent options available to them in his position, it seems unlikely that he will make an impact in the first team next year.

Therefore, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him head out the exit door on a permanent basis in the upcoming transfer window.

He was taken in by Northampton Town on loan in 2022, and he contributed to their League Two promotion the previous year. After that, he made a second stay at Sixfields and settled in nicely to life in the higher league.

In order to further his development, he made 97 appearances for Brady’s team across all competitions, contributing six goals.

Can Wrexham capture him?
Leonard might find joining Wrexham to be an appealing endeavor because they are a driven team.

In an effort to keep climbing the football ladder, the Welsh team will be looking to be a force to be reckoned with come season.

He would not be joining a team in the higher level like Plymouth Argyle, Preston, or Hull City; instead, he would be assured more playing time at the Racecourse Ground.

Once again, Phil Parkinson’s team will take their time hiring and not jump into any hasty agreements.
